Law Day 2017
Attorneys Aimee Audette and James Bagley were honored to join the Honorable Judge Hugo Ricci of the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court to engage in a dialogue with high school students about constitutional issues. The focus of Law Day 2017 was the 14th Amendment, resulting in conversations regarding cornerstone civil rights Supreme Court cases, discussions of state’s rights and even some capital crimes. Attorneys Audette and Bagley are proud to be able to participate in events like Law Day on behalf of Audette, Audette & Violette.
Women’s Fund Of Rhode Island – 100 Men & A Mash Tun
Did you know that here at AC&V we have more female attorneys than male? Attorney Aimee Audette was happy to support the Women’s Fund of Rhode Island at their recent 100 Men & A Mash Tun fundraiser, at Foolproof Brewery in Pawtucket, RI. Founded in 2001, the Women’s Fund is working hard to eliminate gender inequality here in Rhode Island.

Youth In Action – Bloom! 2015
Audette, Audette & Violette is proud to have supported Youth in Action at their biennial fundraiser, Bloom! Youth in Action was founded in 1997 as a program to assist and support youth in building leadership skills and in contributing positively to the community.

Children’s Friend Spirit Of Giving Holiday Drive
Audette, Audette & Violette is proud to have supported Children’s Friend Rhode Island for their 2014 Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive! The Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive at Children’s Friend provides gifts of clothing and toys to make the winter holidays a special time for Rhode Island’s most vulnerable families. Over 1,200 families were sponsored in 2013.
Children’s Friend is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1834, making it Rhode Island’s oldest child welfare organization and a leading provider of child welfare, family support, mental health, and child development services. With centers in Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls, Children’s Friend serves more than 30,000 of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable children and their families each year. ‘Compared to other jurisdictions, Rhode Island has been fairly inclusive on the going-and-coming rule,” the Audette, Audette & Violette lawyer said. ‘Courts have typically found in favor of the employee on the right facts.'”

The Learning Community – Get Smart!
Audette, Audette & Violette was very honored to support The Learning Community at their annual fundraiser, Get Smart!
The Learning Community, located in Central Falls, is one of Rhode Island’s most innovative public charter schools. The school services over 500 students from Central Falls, Pawtucket and Providence, and has been featured nationally on MSNBC and in the New York Times.
Most recently, The Learning Community has been the center of attention because Latino students at the school have closed the achievement gap between Latino and white students in Rhode Island, which has existed as one of the ten largest achievement gaps in the country. Learning Community Latino students outperformed Rhode Island’s white students in both math and writing and came within 4 percentage points in reading on the most recent state standardized New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) tests. Latino students in The Learning Community’s elementary grades outperformed Rhode Island’s white elementary population in reading, writing and math. The Learning Community is achieving this level of student performance not through a rote emphasis on test prep, but by building classroom communities that emphasize critical thinking, debate, inquiry and individual expression. A true learning community.
